## Norce

Norce Commerce is a Scandinavian, Azure-hosted commerce platform with built-in PIM and pricing that lets B2B/B2C brands compose their own stack using best-of-breed integrations. Two solutions, STORM / Jetshop, merged into what is Norce today. This isn't really a “launch a webshop this afternoon” product; it's commerce infrastructure for businesses whose rules stopped being simple a long time ago

**Strengths:**
- Native PIM supports large and sophisticated product catalogs
- Strong B2B functionality includes company context, customer-specific assortments, pricing and purchasing rules
- Composable SaaS architecture integrates cleanly into existing ERP, CMS and service landscapes
- Commerce MCP, Agent Gateway and Agent SDK provide unusually concrete agentic-commerce infrastructure

**Trade-offs:**
- Limited customizability / Scalability constraints (from legacy reviews)
- Modern docs + legacy STORM/Jetshop docs makes it hard
- Full implementations can carry relatively high enterprise TCO
- The ecosystem and partner footprint are concentrated heavily in Northern Europe

## Magento

Magento, now Adobe Commerce at the enterprise end, is one of ecommerce’s most used platforms: complex catalogs, multiple stores, unusual workflows, and deep integrations rarely hit a hard platform ceiling. That freedom is exactly what users still praise. But it comes with equally persistent complaints about the learning curve, developer dependency, complicated setup, performance tuning, and dependency on Adobe Experience Cloud architectures. Magento is powerful because it lets you own almost everything; unfortunately, that includes a fair share of the problems.

**Strengths:**
- Mature support for sophisticated B2C and B2B commerce requirements
- Strong multi-site, multi-brand and international-commerce capabilities
- Large global developer, agency and extension ecosystem
- Integrates deeply with the wider Adobe Experience Cloud and emerging Adobe AI stack

**Trade-offs:**
- Development, upgrades and performance optimization require experienced specialists
- Extension-heavy implementations can accumulate considerable technical debt
- Implementation and ongoing ownership costs can be considerably higher than SaaS alternatives
- Deepening on project architectural and operational complexity is a concern
