API

An application programming interface (API) allows software programs to communicate with one another. Through abstraction, APIs keep implementation details hidden and expose only that which is needed for communication to occur.

Call it headless, API-only or channel-neutral PIM. It basically means that Crystallize manages structured product information and rich content that can be repurposed for any channel: web, app, digital signage, point of sales (POS) or syndication. It can all be done with a properly designed API. In this section, we cover the main concepts for achieving a truly omni-channel approach to products, content, and eCommerce.
