Component

A component is the most atomic unit of information in Crystallize. Each component stores a unique type of information. Multiple components are arranged and combined to build a piece or shape for a product, document, or folder.

Components For Content Modeling

Components are the building blocks for content modeling. Use the links below to read about each component in detail:

Within the Crystallize App, adding a component to a piece or shape is as simple as drag and drop. Components can be reordered and deleted as necessary. Any such changes, once published, will affect every item based on that particular piece or shape.

Component IDs

Every component has an identifier that can be used to reference it within a programmatic context. The identifier may be different from the component's name. In the Crystallize App, you can hover your mouse over a component’s name to reveal its identifier. There’s also a button that will copy the identifier string to your clipboard.
